Ipsy: Illamasqua & Manna Kadar Beauty Plus a Skin Win!

Ipsy has been serving up some real winners lately!  My bag had a sweet hodge-podge of goodies, but I wanted to chat about a couple of items that I’m currently holding near and dear to my heart!

Fantasy_compactFantasy 3-in-1 Blush Highlighter Eyeshadow is pretty dang sweet!  I won’t be using this as a blush as it won’t match my skin tone, but I used it as an eyeshadow and I LOVED the results.  The sparkle was rich and pigmented, without being cheesy!  It blended with the other colors very easily–I can’t wait to try it as a highlighter.  It’s a little on the pricey side to me if not included with Ipsy, but if you’re game, it’s worth a try!

Our Fantasy 3-in-1 is a pearlized powder blush, highlighter and eyeshadow. It has a special light and velvet-like texture which glides on smoothly and evenly to provide the perfect amount of color for a healthy glow on your eyes, cheeks or desired areas for highlighting.

  • Available in 1 Shade- Fantasy (Nude Blush Pink) to complement all skin tones
  • Can be used on all skin types
  • Pearlized Powder for a shimmer appearance
  • Lighweight and applies smoothly
  • Pigment-Rich

precision ink
Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss is quickly becoming one of my new faves.  In my previous post Everyday Makeup Checklist, I told you that Elf’s black eyeliner is at the top of my list.  This still remains true, but what I am enjoying about this eyeliner (also black) is that it isn’t as shiny as Elf’s Another item of note is that the applicator isn’t flexible, and I personally enjoy liquid eyeliners that have a bit of a flexible end–it makes for an easier wing (for me).  This one is a bank-breaker in my opinion–I mean not really, but certainly on the higher end ($28).  Just another reminder how good of a bargain Ipsy truly is (maybe the one on Illamasqua’s site is bigger?)!
Create looks with attitude that no one can ignore with Precision Ink in Abyss. Precision Ink’s fine tip allows for defined application. Long-lasting and waterproof it’s perfect for use anywhere on the face and body to bring out your bold side. You can even use it as an nail art pen; simply seal with Illamasqua Top Coat

rise n shine

Time to search back in your memory banks…remember months ago we talked about Rise ‘N Shine Online?  I used their Bentonite Clay on my tootsies!  Softville (see previous post)

Well, I received their Whipped Shea Butter Scented with Lavendar.  One word, impressed!  Okay, so if I’m required to use more than one word, let me just say this…Shea Butter has a unique stinky smell.  I don’t care from which company, it’s just an acquired smell.  I love Shea Butter, it makes my skin fabulous, and the benefits outweigh the funk. Additionally, the scent dissipates fast.

Rise ‘N Shine did something grand when they added the lavender to this!  I am not even a lavender fan, it’s just not a scent that tickles my britches.  But this is great, light and still feels wonderfully soothing to the skin, providing lasting hydration.

Side note:  I recently used their Bentonite Clay again mixed with organic Apple Cider Vinegar for some skin issues that I have, and it made a REMARKABLE improvement in simply one use…no lie!  They also have great prices, check out their site for some of their other organic products!

**I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review

So what did you receive in your Ipsy this month that you’re in love with?  And, are you a Shea Butter or clay fan?  Will you be trying Rise ‘N Shine Online?

I got that eye shadow and liquid liner too! I wore the eye shadow and absolutely looooved it. It looked great with just MAC Saddle in the crease paired with it. I haven’t tried the liner yet though, but I usually like a marker/pen tip so I don’t know if I’ll like it (because of my lack of liquid liner skills).
