Who else spends countless hours watching tutorials and stalking Instagram to see what’s popular in beauty periodically? Here’s what’s been catching my eye lately…
Cut Crease:“If you’re thinking, ‘Uh, what’s a cut crease?’, it’s a technique that contrasts eye shadow color in the crease of your eye for a sharp, defined look.” (thanks Totalbeauty.com)! click here for Cut Crease Tutorial
“Under eye dots have had a quiet presence at Fashion Weeks for a while, in various different forms and varying degrees. Luckily, it’s the simplest and most wearable variation of these little dots that has filtered through to the beauty bloggers and the real world, and not only is it really cool; it’s super-easy too!
It might seem a bit odd to just plonk a blob of eyeliner underneath your eyes, but when worn correctly, these little dots can work wonders to make your eyes seem bigger and brighter in a way that’s much more subtle than you might expect.”
Doll Eyes Contact Lenses: Oversized contact lenses to make your eyes appear doll-like. I have to admit, these are creepy as hell to me! But I’m sure there’s someone, somewhere, that makes these look pretty dang cute. And then I’ll want some, LOL! Is it you?
Cupid’s Bow Lips: “The Cupid’s bow or tubercle is a facial feature where the double curve of a human upper lip is said to resemble the bow of Cupid, the Roman god of erotic love. The peaks of the bow coincide with the philtral columns giving a prominent bow appearance to the lip.” What would we do without Wikipedia, seriously? To elaborate, it looks as though you over exaggerate your own natural Cupid’s Bow to give it a little oomph!
Okay, so what do you think? What have you tried? What are you feelin’, and what are you going to skip? I’m down with a little Cupid’s Bow, Cut Crease and if I’m feeling particularly feisty, maybe some Eye Dots.
